Our delightful and secluded self catering holiday cottages are full of character and include a Grade II Listed 16th Century farmhouse and barn conversions. The cottages enjoy glorious views across the Culm Valley toward Dartmoor and the south coast. The idyllic garden setting around the farmhouse pond opens onto our own private valley with three further lakes. There are nearly 60 acres to explore including a countryside walk to a hilltop with panoramic views and abundant wildlife.
Our cottages are equipped with all you will need for a very comfortable and relaxing stay and can accommodate a couple, families and groups of up to 18 in one cottage; perfect for family get togethers, anniversaries and celebrations.
Fishing Holidays in Devon
With four lakes to choose from, there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy coarse fishing at West Pitt Farm in Devon. The lakes are spring fed and stocked with a wide variety of fish including carp, tench, roach, rudd, bream and perch; offering a quality fishing holiday whether you are a competitive or pleasure angler. Not fished before; we would be happy to lend you a fishing rod and start you off at the Farmyard Pond.
Things to do in Devon
With a dozen pubs and restaurants in the local villages there is a wide variety of places to eat out. For those who prefer to cook for themselves there are farm shops close by offering fresh local produce, or deliveries can be arranged. In our local town of Tiverton there is a regular Pannier Market as well as a full range of shops, including larger supermarkets. Taunton and Exeter are both within 30 minutes’ drive and offer cinemas, museums and racecourses and all the facilities of larger towns.
West Pitt Farm is perfectly positioned to explore the glorious coasts and countryside of Devon and Somerset and the moorland of Dartmoor and Exmoor; yet readily accessible from rail and road routes to the South West. West Pitt is perfect for walking holidays, fishing, bird watching or simply a relaxing Devon break.
